Coronavirus (Covid-19) And The Delta Variant

Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2)

We have all been affected in some way or another by the Covid-19 pandemic. Our team at Butterfield Onsite Drug Testing makes a difference. We are here to be part of the solution.

Supporting Our Community With Covid-19 Testing

With an impactful “pivot,” we obtained our CLIA waiver to start offering Covid-19 testing to better help our community. Now, we offer testing in our clinic and onsite for businesses that need testing for individuals or on a larger scale.

We are partners with two laboratories that offer PCR testing. Today, we are putting a solid plan into action to be part of the solution. We work with numerous congregate living communities to help them meet the State of Oregon’s requirement to routinely test all staff and residents.

Even though there has been a decrease in case numbers and deaths, it is still paramount to remember to keep doing what we need to do to be safe. Educate yourself about the effectiveness of the Covid-19 vaccine and don’t drop your guard just because you are vaccinated. You can still contract AND spread the virus.

We are living in a time of concern and uncertainty, but we are here to help. Butterfield Onsite Drug Testing will continue serving the needs of our communities and businesses with our drug testing services and now our onsite covid-19 testing as well. We offer three different options for Covid-19 testing to suit your needs.

Butterfield Onsite Drug Testing will continue to keep its finger on the pulse of the pandemic to stay informed on ways to help. Presently, we follow the news on the developing Covid-19 Delta variant. Contact us today to learn more about our in-clinic or onsite coronavirus testing.

Just when restrictions were lifting and life was improving, the Delta variant entered the scene. People are can be confused about the Delta variant and its symptoms.

The Delta variant is twice as contagious, and according to some studies conducted by 2 different countries – it causes more severe illness. Anyone can spread it and anyone can catch it – vaccinated or not. Studies do show that the symptoms are lessened in people who have been vaccinated. For more information on the Delta variant visit the CDC’s page here

Butterfield Onsite Drug Testing offers onsite testing at your place of business or testing at our clinic. BODT continues to offer both antigen testing with a result in 10 minutes. We also have Lab-Based PCR testing with a 24-36 hour turnaround time available. We are here to bring peace of mind, educate, and deliver service that is second to none. Methods To Detect Covid-19

PCR Nasal Swab Test – Anterior Nares (Nasal) – We use a swab to gather a specimen from just the inside of the nostrils. This sample is then sent to the lab to detect the presence of viral RNA.

Nasopharyngeal Nasal Swab Test – A longer swab is stuck into the far back of the nasal cavity, to a part called the nasopharyngeal. The sample we obtain from this area tests for the antigens that are found in Covid-19. This test is a quick result test. (antigen – a toxin or other foreign substance which induces an immune response in the body, especially the production of antibodies.)

Antibodies Test – Our technician obtains a small blood sample with a poke of the finger. A buffering agent is applied allowing an instant result if antibodies are present.

Do Your Part To Stop Covid-19

In an effort to help stop the spread of Covid-19 for public health, the Center for Disease Control and the Department of Health suggest reducing close contact with people. If you are experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19 or if you have tested positive for Covid-19, seek out proper health care and if possible, stay home.

We don’t just provide onsite coronavirus testing. Butterfield offers do-it-yourself collection kits that you can use in the comfort and safety of your own home.

We have more onsite testing and collections services to offer.

“When the pandemic hit, our organization needed to find a partner to help us with the required COVID testing for 175 staff. Since June 2020, we have worked with Butterfield Onsite Drug Testing to meet these regulatory requirements including testing staff up to two times a week. The Butterfield team has been amazing to work with!

From their friendly staff who conduct our testing clinics to their owner, the Butterfield team has provided excellent customer service every step of the way. They are flexible, reliable and have become a trusted partner for our organization. Whether it’s doing the regular weekly clinics or pulling together an emergency clinic with short notice, the Butterfield team made testing look easy and well fun as much as shoving a Q tip up your nose can be!

Without the support of the Butterfield team, I’m not sure how our organization would have navigated the pandemic and the testing requirements. We are so grateful to them for their partnership.”
